Giana Lee Onorato is a 26-year-old mother who pretends to be disabled to get money from people. She tells lies to make others feel sorry for her and gives her money. Giana often meets men online and brings them home, telling them sad stories about her life. Giana has a four-year-old daughter named Rosie. Giana is very mean to Rosie. She hits her and leaves her alone in their small, messy apartment. Rosie is often scared and hurt. She holds onto her old teddy bear to feel better. While Giana tricks people and spends time with different men, Rosie hopes for a better life. Rosie needs help from kind people and child services to rescue her from her mother's abuse.
